We had Mike, George, Desi and Athena do an extensive renovation/expansion of our en-suite bathroom. We are delighted with the finished product. Their team took care of every detail from the construction, various upgrades and improvements to our existing structure and the design of our en-suite. Desi and Athena were spectacular and providing various design choices and colour schemes all from the comfort of our home. They did a wonderful job of the final staging of our en-suite (this was a lovely added touch). Mike and George were excellent at keeping us in the loop and communicating with us right through the entire construction. The attention to detail and the high quality of
workmanship was wonderful! They coordinated absolutely everything. The finished project is spectacular. We absolutely love our new bathroom.

I recently downsized into a condominium. An incredible view and a large balcony helped a lot to forget house and garden. The kitchen and both bathrooms however, needed surely major updating. After some research to find the right contractor, I decided on Mike and team from Renovateme. Very important to me was the fact that I dealt only with 4 people. Mike and George did all the work that needed to be done, their range of experience is very impressive and the workmanship outstanding. So is the Design Team, Despina and Athena. After only one meeting, with some ideas and wishes from my side, they had innovative suggestions and the choices of materials were “spot-on”. It was fun and easy making final decisions. I am so happy with my new renovated space and felt in excellent hands through the whole process. If you are looking for wonderful workmanship, someone who can take care of all aspects of the job, trust this Full Service Team, hire the team of Renovateme.
Client followup 1 year later -
A year has passed since the Renovation of my Apartment was completed. Both bathrooms and kitchen were in need of major update and remodel. After some research, my choice was to trust the Contractor Team of Renovateme. Really important and reassuring was this father and son team were able to do the whole job - carpentry, plumbing and electric, sourcing also all new appliances - no worries coordinating many different tradespeople. Their range of experience is very impressive and the craftsmanship outstanding. So is the design team Despina and Athena - after only 2 meetings, all materials were decided on and I was happy to have the NEW LOOK pulled together: tiles, faucets, lighting - fabulous! During the whole Renovation I was able to stay in my home. At the end of every work day, Mike and George would tidy-up: roll up cords, sweep and/or vacuum - so I could enjoy my evening at home. Now there is twice as much storage in both bathrooms and kitchen with modern, clever furnishings. What a pleasure!
Thanks to a very professional and friendly contractor team, all family based, I am looking forward to enjoying my apartment for many years to come. Nothing comes to mind I would have wanted differently.
So, if you are planning a home Renovation and are looking for great craftsmanship, someone who is taking care of all aspects the job requires, on time, on budget, trust this full service team, hire the team of Renovateme.

Commonly asked questions about bathroom renovations
Many factors contribute to making the best bathroom vanity choice for your bathroom renovation. A discussion of your individual preferences and budget and an evaluation of your current bathroom layout allows us to recommend the bathroom vanity that most completely meets your needs. Generally, there are two types of bathroom vanities available. The first type to consider is standard off-the-shelf vanity cabinets which are a great alternative for budget conscious bathroom renovations. They are available with stone counters, an undermount porcelain sink, single post faucet and pop-up drain. The second alternative is semi-customizable vanity cabinets available in a number of finishes with numerous door and drawer front options and countless interior configurations. These cabinets may be customized with a variety of countertop surfaces, sink and faucet options, and unique door/drawer pulls. Our in-house design team can work with you to discuss any bathroom renovation ideas and select the vanity cabinet that best meets your needs.
An often overlooked detail, the installation of waterproofing prior to building a shower or tiling a “wet area” is essential. We recommend Schluter-Kerdi for waterproofing and Schluter-Ditra as an anti-fracture and waterproofing floor membrane prior to tiling. Waterproofing membranes protect your investment by guarding against water penetration and subsequent issues with mold, while decoupling membranes limit unavoidable substructure movement which lead to cracking grout and tile delamination/breakage.
Walk-in showers are a great alternative when mobility may be compromised due to aging, sports injuries, arthritis, or other health conditions. Consequently, switching from a conventional bathtub/shower combination to a more practical and easily accessible walk-in shower may be the answer to finding increased independence. With their low profile curbs, or curbless varieties, frameless tempered glass enclosures, tiled shower bases, creating an easy grip and non-slip surface, strategically placed safety grab rails, shower seats for comfort, and product display niches for increased convenience, walk-in showers are a simple and fuss-free alternative to consider incorporating into your next bathroom renovation. A shower or bath renovation may also include safety grab bars for peace of mind.

A bathroom renovation affords the opportunity to incorporate many of the latest and greatest conveniences. Bathroom reno ideas include little luxuries such as a wall-mounted hardwired towel warmer connected to a programmable timer, thermostatically controlled underfloor heating, a curbless shower with linear drain, various shower hardware options including thermostatic control valves, large rain shower-heads, adjustable rail-mounted handheld wands and body jets, strategically placed product store and display niches, intricate tilework, or a shallow mirrored medicine cabinet for extra storage and practicality without losing the functionality of a traditional vanity mirror.
We chronicle four easy ways to improve your bathroom in our Lifestyle blog titled “”Flush” your old style – 4 steps to update your bathroom in style.” Two of our most impactful recommendations are to, in small bathroom renovations, consider including finishing materials that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical. Easy to maintain quartz, a compact but fully functional vanity and a frameless mirror-on-mirror vanity mirror are excellent design choices in a small bathroom or washroom renovation. Next, include bathroom decor that has meaning and pizzazz. After all, what’s wrong with treating your senses to fun and interesting accessories.
When renovating a small bathroom, there are many factors to consider. We outline several bathroom remodel ideas in our blog titled “Small Bathroom Renovation Tips & Tricks.” Two of our favourite small bathroom reno or washroom renovation ideas are to incorporate a floating or wall-hung bathroom vanity in lieu of an impractical pedestal sink or a heavy looking floor vanity. A floating vanity creates negative space under the cabinet and thus gives the illusion of an abundance of room.
Another tip is to utilize a calming monochromatic colour palette. This will help to enlargen a small bathroom by not allowing the eye to focus on visual boundaries and limitations.
Bathroom renovations not only allow the chance to update fixtures and aesthetic finishes. They also afford the opportunity to mitigate layout or other non-cosmetic shortcomings. They offer the chance to improve waterproofing and insulation or to remediate any previous water ingress and possible mold growth. After all, when renovating why not upgrade? Address your storage woes, include modern features, and improve the functionality and efficiency of your bathroom. Your renovated bathroom will thank you! And best of all, niceties like heated towel bars, countdown exhaust fan timer switches and occupancy sensor light switches not only enhance the enjoyment of your new bathroom, but they will also reduce energy consumption and related costs.
The cost of a bathroom renovation is dependent on several factors. These include the size of the existing bathroom, the scope of work required, the number of fixtures that need renovating and the choice of finishes. A complete bathroom renovation, including labour and material, can range from between $20,000 and $50,000. Of course, every bathroom is different and requirements may involve anything from minor repairs or upgrades to complete gut and rebuilds. Consequently, all bathroom renovations are evaluated on a case by case basis and individual estimates provided. An inexpensive small bathroom remodel may include the renovation of a 3-piece bathroom with vanity, toilet and combination bathtub/shower upgrades. A more elaborate principal ensuite renovation may entail updated dual sink vanities with stone counters, custom storage, toilet, free-standing bathtub and custom walk-in shower. Little luxuries such as heated towel bars, thermostatic valves and underfloor heating, may be included in either bathroom remodeling illustration. Our team will collaborate with you through your bathroom renovation from start to finish to articulate your style and material finish preferences. These preferences and your allotted budget and time frame will influence your scope of work and your bathroom remodel. Also, we recommended maintaining a contingency amount of 10-15% for any unforeseen issues that may arise. Such issues may include wood rot, water damage or asbestos abatement.
I am interested in renovating my bathroom. What is the process involved in bathroom remodeling? Below we outline how to design a bathroom remodel…in five easy steps!
