- In a pot, combine cubed, peeled apples, chopped onions, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt & pepper, chopped fresh basil & parsley and chili flakes, salt & pepper.
- Cook until the apples and onions soften and the mixture thickens – usually between 30 and 60 minutes.
- Incorporate sweet golden raisins half way through the cooking time and continue to simmer.
- Stir occasionally and add water to the chutney mixture as needed to prevent burning.
