From its pink and green colour scheme to its louvre window to the delaminated tiles falling off the walls and outdated fixtures and finishes, this bathroom needed some TLC! Once taken down to its studs, plumbing and electrical were upgraded, walls were boarded and a new double glazed window was installed. This original bathroom was ready to be transformed from blah to brilliant!
The first order of business was transforming the existing tub/shower combination into a custom walk-in shower. The generous shower was built with Schluter products and all walls and the pan waterproofed with Kerdi membrane. A dual diverter valve was installed to operate a ceiling-mounted rain showerhead and a handheld wand. Finishing, in this fabulous shower makeover, included a beautiful mix of faux marble large format porcelain tile for the walls and tumbled marble for the shower pan. A quartz built-in seat, product niche and 10mm thick tempered glass shower screen add further function and charm to this bathroom design.
The vanity area is treated to a makeover showcasing a bathroom vanity in an off-white raised panel finish. Featuring two doors and lower full extension drawer, equipped with soft-close hardware, this unit offers improved storage options and capacity in this compact bathroom. A quartz counter rich in toffee swirls and caramel buttons tops the newly installed vanity. An undermount porcelain sink, single post faucet and brushed brass/marble pulls complete the look. A mirror framed vanity mirror is incorporated to help visually expand the compact space while metallic designer wallpaper brings a little whimsy. After all, even small bathrooms crave stylish finishings.
To remedy the limited lighting of the existing bathroom 4” LED ceiling lights are included throughout this updated masterpiece. The bathroom floor is set with 6” x 24” textured porcelain. All in all, this bathroom remodel shines from head to toe!
