Project Highlights
The goal of this gorgeous bathroom transformation was to convert the existing tub/shower combination to a custom full size walk-in shower while refreshing the aesthetics of the overall bathroom. The original vanity was retained and topped with a Crema-marfil inspired quartz counter, a rectangular undermount sink with single post polished chrome faucet and pop-up drain, and finished with the installation of a polished chrome and acrylic framed mirror and farmhouse style light fixture.
The vanity area makeover was completed with a shiplap-like wall feature using an 8″ x 48″ Italian woodgrain porcelain tile laid over the entire bathroom floor and continued up the vanity wall. The new shower was built using Schluter components including Kerdi waterproofing membrane and features a dual mixing valve with wall-mounted 3-way adjustable showerhead and a rail-mounted handheld wand, a full width seat, and custom 10mm tempered glass enclosure.
Polished porcelain 24″ x 48″ tiles graced the shower walls while a vertical herringbone marble feature continues through the wall niche to the shower floor. Matching quartz was used for the shower seat and curb. This renovated bathroom is certainly a showstopper!
Eco-friendly features: a low flush toilet, a high efficiency fan connected to a timer and an occupancy sensor switch to control the lighting further enhance this transformation.
